CONFECÇÕES CALVI, LDA. is the data controller for the operation of CALVI Blanks and its customer relationships. For data protection matters, contact geral@confeccoescalvi.pt or write to the address above. This policy is based on the GDPR and Portuguese Law 58/2019.

02. Data we collect

Depending on your interaction, we collect your name, company and professional role, email, telephone, billing and delivery details, tax number, account and order information, enquiry content, and files you choose to send. The platform also processes technical data such as IP address, device, browser, cookie identifiers and navigation information. Payment providers process payment details according to the payment method used. Do not send sensitive personal data or third-party information that is unnecessary for your enquiry.

03. Purposes and legal grounds

  • Enquiries, quotations, accounts and orders: to take steps at your request before a contract and perform it; where you act for a company, our legitimate interest in communicating with its representatives and managing the commercial relationship.
  • Billing and legal obligations: compliance with tax, accounting and other applicable legal duties.
  • Security and dispute management: legitimate interests in preventing fraud, protecting the service and establishing or defending legal claims, balanced against your rights.
  • Newsletters and optional tracking: your consent. Ordering or sending an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

Fields marked as required are necessary for the stated request. Without them, we may be unable to respond or fulfil it. Other fields are optional.

04. Who receives data

Access is limited to authorised staff and service providers who need the information for the stated purposes, including Shopify for the store and forms, payment providers, carriers, IT support and accounting services. They act under their applicable legal and contractual responsibilities. Data may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

05. Shopify and international processing

Our store uses Shopify. Shopify processes data to provide, secure and improve its services. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled: Shopify also uses information from interactions with this store and other Shopify merchants for enhanced services such as personalisation and advertising, subject to applicable permissions. For those activities, Shopify has its own responsibilities as explained in its Consumer Privacy Policy.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. You can request information about relevant safeguards from our privacy contact and consult Shopify’s Data Processing Addendum and Privacy Portal.

06. How long we keep information

Enquiry and quotation information is kept for the time needed to handle the request and any ensuing relationship. Account data is kept while the account is active and afterwards only as needed for legal duties or claims. Order, invoice and accounting records are kept for the legally required retention periods. Newsletter information is used until you withdraw consent; a limited suppression record may be retained to respect your choice. Security records are kept only as necessary for their purpose. Data is deleted or anonymised when the applicable purpose and retention requirements end.

07. Cookies and choices

Essential technologies support security, the cart and checkout. Optional preference, analytics and marketing technologies are subject to the permissions applicable to your region. You can reject optional cookies and change or withdraw consent through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. Read the Cookie Policy for categories and further information.

08. Marketing and withdrawal of consent

Newsletter subscription is a separate choice. You can unsubscribe through the link in each marketing email or by contacting geral@calviwholesale.com. Withdrawing consent is free and does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Necessary order or account messages may still be sent.

09. Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, including objection to direct marketing. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Contact geral@confeccoescalvi.pt. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We respond without undue delay, normally within one month; a legally permitted extension will be explained within that initial period. You may complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) or another competent supervisory authority.

10. Security, children and changes

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks, including access controls and confidentiality obligations. No online system can promise absolute security. The professional service is not directed at children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data. We may update this policy to reflect actual changes and will identify the new date and provide additional notice where legally required.
